Tayong Dalawa | Truly the best for 2009!

January 24th, 2009 by admin 1 comment »

The highly anticipated soap opera Tayong Dalawa has already started airing last Monday. It is really amazing how the three main cast, Kim Gerald (Audrey), Gerald Anderson (JR) and Jake Cuenca (Dave) are surrounded by award-winning actors like Anita Linda, Helen Gamboa, Gina Pareño and Cherry Pie Picache to name a few. And, ABS-CBN is proud to emphasize that, despite the fact that the three haven’t receive any acting awards yet.

But nevertheless, I can see that they are the best choices to star the soap opera. They are really doing well, and there is no denying that they are truly the brightest stars of this generation.

Anderson said that one of the challenges for him is portraying the role of a uniformed man.

“Iyong pagiging sundalo kasi first time ko at mas malalim ito sa ibang mga roles na ginawa namin,” he said.

In the series, Anderson will play the character of David Garcia or JR from the Philippine Air Force.

The actor said that as preparation for his role he is now undergoing a lot of workshops with the rest of the cast under the supervision of well-known director Laurice Guillen.

Anderson, the son of a US Navy man in real life added that his father’s stories and suggestions help him to give justice to his character.

“Tinatanong ko siya minsan kung paano sila tumatayo, kung paano ang exercises nila, ang lakad nila,” he said.

Anderson said that working for another project with Chiu is definitely a happy moment for him and he’s looking forward to starting the project.

“Masaya, saka we are both excited for the project,” he added.

Prinsesa ng Drama 2nd Princess Kim Chiu | Not Anorexic

Here are some proof that Kim Chiu, the 2nd placer of the Prinsesa ng Drama pole survey of ABS-CBN, is not anorexic…

The issue came out because of the noticeable skinny pictures of Kim Chiu during the taping of Pinay My Girl and also on her debut.

And, after several months, we are now seeing a healthier Kim. Well, thanks to her nutritionist, gym instructor and above all-her effort to improve her physique.

Quotable Quotes of My Only Hope

If You think Life has turned its back on you, tatalikuran mo rin ba ang Pag-ibig?……pagdating sa pag-ibig, ano ang kaya mong isugal?

Ano ang kaya mong isugal sa laro ng buhay?

“game of life.” Some people believe that life is just like a game of tic-tac-toe. There are challenges you have to face, decisions you have to make.

How will you be able to make the right combination of X or O to win?

They are indeed this new generation’s hottest love teams. I just hope that after the show, Gerald will go back to his old clean cut looks. :-) And hopefully by that time Kim has gained some weights already.

Some of the most promising stars of this generation…

ABS-CBN’s Your Song presents : My Only Hope

The title and the theme song is popularly known to be Mandy Moore’s original song in the movie “A Walk To Remember” and again revived by David Achuleta an American Idol Runner Up.

Some of the scenes where taped in Boracay. This was followed by a taping session in Manila. The story revolves around love and knowing one’s true identity.

Some of the cast went through reinvention and are now sporting new looks like Gerald Anderson a rugged Emo boy as Keemo, a rich guy who has a dark past sports (hmm, that explains this handsome dirty looks of him lol), the Pinay My Girl former beauty queen Nina Jose is Jessie now “the scarred lady”, Enchong is Jhun the matured down to earth chef, while Kim is April– still the sunny girl we know. They say that these new characters shall mirror the lifestyle and culture of the Filipino youth today.

Directed by Don Cuaresma and Jojo Saguin, and will premiere this October 5 on ABS-CBN.
